Snow Day

It can be really nice to have a good excuse not to do anything all day :)

Since the snow cancelled any plans to do productive errands, I spent the day napping, reading and watching TV. Winter break is the best!

I snacked on the other half of my smoothie, as well as a few handfuls of walnuts:

Eventually, I braved the icy roads to make a grocery run. (Fresh produce is a necessity!) I used some of my loot to make a salad beast for dinner.

Romaine, tomato, carrots, cucumbers, onions, and an avocado mixed with salsa.

Lots of guacamole = happy belly.

On the side, I had an unpictured tortilla, as well as a handful of pistachios and some grapefruit chunks.

Two walnut-cranberry Super Charge Me cookies for dessert!

I'm currently on the couch in my sweats watching Easy A, which is way funnier than I'd anticipated. I can't imagine a better way to end a lazy day!

What are your favorite activities on a day of bad weather?

Sounds like our days were quite similar ;)

Sounds perfect! I wish we had snow in Dallas. I love to stay in my pajamas and slippers all day in the rare occasion that it's too cold/snowy to get outside. Cooking, reading and watching movies makes for an ideal day. And if I get antsy, I clean! :)

I had a salad bowl & grapefruit as part of my dinner as well. Nothing beats grapefruit! Lazy days are so amazing! Love winter for that reason.

I love lazy days! I have yet to have one over this break, but I plan to on Wednesday and I want to bake something, drink lots of tea, and watch episode after episode of the show 24...my latest addiction.

Ahh the lazy days of winter break! Much needed after a hectic semester.

I like to veg out on days when bad weather rolls in. Nothing like lounging in sweat pants watching movies and snacking on delicious treats. I also like to bake, as long as I have all of the ingredients on hand!

I think everyone has seen Easy A except me! Maybe this weekend. On bad weather days, I usually play in the kitchen, play video games and watch movies.

Those are the best activities for snowed in days!

Currently...Dawson's Creek. And lots of it! :)
But only when my mom's available! It's "our" show, soo I can't get ahead unless she's around to watch too. Haha!

So glad you liked Easy A. I've been meaning to see that!
Oh! And I still need to make those super charge me cookies. Been dying to try them!

Ooooh - walnut cranberry super charge me cookies? I think I need to try that combo next. I'm on a current cranberry kick. Maybe I'll add a little orange zest and really round out my "festive cranberry + orange + clove" obsession at the moment, haha.
I quite enjoyed my snow day yesterday, too. It lets me get things like cleaning done that I'll otherwise put off for eons ;)

i am jealous of everyone who got to enjoy a lazy day at gome yesterday! i had to trudge over the sidewalks to become one of 5 dedicated people in my office. :) there was nothing like that feeling growing up when school was canceled or delayed - i always loved staying in my pajamas in bed, reading a book or watching a movie. i still think that's the best way to spend a day of bad weather, actually!

On a lazy day, one where I cannot leave the house, I love watching movies. Typically movies I would not pay to see in the theater. I also try and call two people that I haven't talked to in awhile.

Walnuts are actually the one nut I still can't really acquire much of a taste for. If I eat them in something, they've got to be chopped up SUPER fine!

I saw Easy A a few days ago and I really enjoyed it too! Watching movies is one of my favourite things to do on bad weather days. Either that or having Glee marathons with my mom and sister! :D
